About Us

The Islamic Centre in Exeter was established in 1978 through the efforts of local Muslim businessmen and concerned students from the University of Exeter. Since it`s formation it has grown considerably both in its physical size and activities. Our primary purpose of providing a consecrated place for worship of Allah Almighty has been retained in the forefront. In addition, several other projects have commenced to assist the worshippers and larger community we serve. Alhamdu lillah, in 1999 Exeter City Council approved for the construction of a purpose built Mosque.

Location: The Mosque is situated just off Sidwell Street. Which follows on from the High Street. If you turn at the corner with the 24 Hr shop and keep going, it will be on your right after the Primary School.

To get to the Mosque by bus, get a connection that goes to Sidwell Street. then walk down the side street into York Road at the traffic lights.

To get there from the train station, follow the signposts to the town centre and then continue to Sidwell St.
